CASHEW BUTTER PROTEIN POWERBALLS

I am excited about this recipe for Protein Powerballs, or you could call them Energy Protein Bites - whichever appeals.  Not only a great healthy gluten free snack for the kids, but also a great gift idea for your postal worker, UPS man, your dentist office staff, etc.  Because these bite sized balls are healthy and nutritious,  no one gets a guilt complex for eating your treats!

Don't forget your ministry team at church, youth group leaders, and oh my....I better make another batch!  Use mini cupcake wraps and arrange powerballs in a tin or box for gift giving.

CASHEW BUTTER PROTEIN POWERBALLS

1 cup Organic Cashew Butter (use ½ of a 16 oz jar)
¾ cup Maple Syrup (Organic Agave syrup will work, too)
2 scoops Vanilla AB Essentials Protein Shake Mix
3 scoops Chocolate AB Essentials Protein Shake Mix
2 scoops of AB Essentials Fiber Boost
1 ½ cup Crispy brown Rice cereal (use gluten free if desired)

• Mix cashew butter and maple syrup in microwaveable bowl.
• Heat for 60-90 seconds, mix well.
• Add protein powder and fiber, mix well.
• Add crispy rice, mix gently.
• Refrigerate about 30 minutes to make them easier to work with.
• Use hands to shape into small balls, 1” in diameter
• Roll each ball in hazlenut meal (optional)
• Cover with saran wrap and keep refrigerated (they can keep in the refrigerator for 7-10 days if well covered)

Average about 30 protein balls per batch.

If tree nut allergies are an issue substitute with SunButter. Because the Arbonne protein powder scores 100% on the amino acid profile these treats make great post recovery snacks for the fitness guru on your Christmas gift giving list.

  1. Just made these with peanut butter since our store doesn't carry cashew butter. Doubled the batch and my daughter does not want them to leave the house - these are amazing, and I am not even a peanut butter fan!
